Frequently Asked Questions

Is therapy covered by insurance?

Typically, yes. All insurance plans are different, so it’s important for you to understand your specific policy. Call your insurance provider to inquire about your mental health coverage.

How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?

I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone or video consultation. This will provide you with the opportunity to see if we are a good fit. If you’re interested in a consultation, please click here to message me.

What happens if I try a few sessions and I don’t feel like therapy is for me?

If this is the case, I would strongly encourage you to try another therapist. Sometimes it’s a good fit right from the start, and sometimes we need to try a few therapists before we find the right one. I have a large network of trusted colleagues with a wide range of specialties, and I’m happy to offer referral options. Each therapist has their own approach, or style, and I want you to have the best possible experience and outcome. Please let me know, at any point during your treatment, and I’ll be happy to help you explore your options.

How long is each session?

Most sessions are 50 minutes. However, I do offer 30-minute sessions as well.

Is this truly confidential?

Yes! Everything that we talk about during our sessions is completely confidential. This means I cannot, and will not, share anything that we discuss during our sessions with anyone else. You, on the other hand, are welcome to share whatever you’d like with whomever you’d like.
